Elena Surkova Stained-glass StudioFine Art in Stained Glass
Glass-fusing technique is generally used when decorating niches, windows and for creating small decorative pieces for interior application. It embellishes interiors of a home and makes it fascinating and extremely elegant.
This method involves melting several pieces of glass with each other and with the clear glass base. The cut patterns from prefabricated colored glass are joined together on the clear glass base according to the drawing, then is put in the kiln at the range of 700-800 degrees. By careful control of the weight, temperature and viscosity of the glass, a specific shape and color can be achieved.
Fusing is a technique that enables the artist to create the unique combinations of color, shape and relief, which is not always possible using only mosaic soldering technique.
Glass-fusing items perfectly fit to the design and enhance the interior of your home.
All stained-glass products are made in accordance with the drawings from our collection; we can also design something new to suit your taste and desire.
